One More Awards Show
We the members of Clovis Mann had a lot of help tearing up coutry roads in our jalopy this year, so here goes...
Gucciani Award for Photography... Eric Baumann, unanimously
Chef Tell Award for Excellence in Culinary Feedbag Skills as a Tag Team... Nubby and Sue, special recognition for the Mac & Cheese and Salmonloaf
Warhol Award in the Field of Graphic Design... Barry Kalpinski Thanks for the fantastic logo, you-da-man. Kathy Newport would be proud.
Dan Majerle Sixth Man Award for Sitting in... "Emerald City" Nate Rentmeester Anybody remember the Maggot Brain, Down by the River, Whippin' Post medley at The Comeback In? Ya, I do too.
Torfi Olafsson Award for Physical Fitness... Ford's Gym Keeping the Mann fit to compete.
Miss Kitty Award for Host or Hostessmanship... "Hot" Rod He's a like a modern day Bill Graham with a better haircut.
Argus Bingo Award in the Field of Drink Pouring (this award is named after Hall of Fame bartender Steve Longo)... John Strand, Comeback In John was considered the fourth Mann during our 7 month stretch of Sunday shows at The CBI. Next time we play "Night Court Theme Song" it's dedicated to you bud. Bottoms Up. Honorable Mention (tie)

We're honored to have won the "chef tell award" as a tag-team for our Mac&Cheese/Salmonloaf, but if you think THAT was good, just wait... You ain't seen nothin' yet!
The last award we won as a "team" was in 1981 when we won a dance
competition at the once infamous, now up-in-flames-long-gone Golden Lion, (and we have the trophy to prove it!)

I believe the Artist currently known as the Mann's photographer only has one "n". However, no relation to a former Mayor. But I would like to start a rumor about the photographer being related to a former Governor despite that Governor's Mud-Duckness.

Was he a disheveled older guy with comb-over. Fair warning the Mann ought take notice and stay out of the way of the old crazy dudes. I hear the guy in question thinks R&R and R&B are the devils music - that he once decapitated a student with an oscillating fan in his coaching changing the the old transiter station in the high school gym from Lawrence Belch (ah I mean Welk) to Jimi Hendrix - next thing you know its gonna be "where you going with that gun in your hand...''
