The Club Tavern, Middleton, WI

It pains me to think that there may be another twelve-year-old version of me out there who doesn’t have the resources to get a bass guitar into his husky, little, Polack hands. The demented Dutchman and the maniacal German believe this too. With that in mind, when Rick Tvedt called on Clovis Mann to play for the Madison Area Music Awards, a non-profit agency whose mission is to help out local school’s music programs, we immediately threw our plastic, neon green ten-gallon hats into the ring and agreed to play at The Club Tavern on a bill with Sean Michael Dargan and John Masino.

We had our hour to shine, as did Dargan and Masino; we all played extremely well.

It’s nice to know that somewhere, in this great city of ours, three little hairy bastards may finally be able to put down their Nintendo controllers, turn off the WWF wrestling, hike up their cowboy boots and Cincinnati Bengals zubaz, and get the instruments they’ve always dreamed about playing.

It’s just too bad that they’ll never make any money with them.

Just kidding.
