WSUM 91.7, Madison, WI

Putting three hairy, husky bastards in a 110 degree room generally isn’t regarded as a good idea, but, on Saturday at 2:00 pm, WSUM proved the world wrong. The station threw the band Clovis Mann into one of their sound rooms and told them to do what they do best: make noise and bludgeon things. All the while, the station had microphones hidden throughout the room, and broadcasted the entire debacle throughout the capital city on their program entitle "Support Your Scene" which runs every Sunday from 2-3.

Outside, spontaneously, common passers-by stopped in their tracks, businessmen cried to the heavens, school children frolicked in recess playgrounds, the world erupted into chaos, hot dogs were eaten, beer was drunk, enemies dropped their weapons and hugged one another in celebration, the indomitable spirit of man conjoined all of the world’s people and love permeated the boundaries us lowly humans use for protection against our vulnerabilities and insecurities. For once, on this lowly planet, something akin to global harmony finally took place.

And then Clovis Mann played on the radio and everything went back to bleak normalcy.

But, despite ruining the entire state of the world, Clovis Mann played a killer set of music, and spread their name around a little in this town we know and love. Thanks are due to Rick Tvedt of Rick’s Café for inviting us to do this, and for WSUM for having us. We appreciate it.

And if you missed it the first time, don't worry, we'll be on again.
